Univision wins the Gawker auction, agrees to purchase the network for $135M

Today, TV network and digital publisher Univision has agreed to pay $135 million to purchase Gawker Media. The deal encompasses all seven Gawker properties: Gawker.com, Lifehacker, Deadspin, Gizmodo, Jalopnik, Jezebel, and Kotaku. In the end, the bidding came down to two parties: Ziff Davis and Univision. Reports suggest Ziff Davis had offered $90 million to purchase the bankrupt website network.
