MICA is an extension of who we are and what we value. We are inspired by the traditional and timeless designs of those who have gone before us. Combined with elements that are both modern and personal, we create pieces that will be relevant for generations. The Owen, our current model, is named after Dan’s grandpa. Grandpa Owen was a rugged farmer. He raised sugar beets and cattle and took any sort of odd job to provide for his family. He was a hard worker and a grinder. In the Owen model, we’ve incorporated a steel ring that's chamfered like a gear, sandwiched between two pieces of wood. That gear represents the hardworking, never stopping grinder who was Grandpa Owen. We are all grinders, innovators and tireless pursuers of our individual passions like Grandpa Owen was. This model serves as a constant reminder to be ever vigilant in your own grind.
